DMA 455 Massive Discovery!!

So during semester 4 Flash class, we had to use an external frame work to create and discover different ways in which we can play with flash.

First up a wine label made with the back ground of the label generated by the hype frame works:

Second we had experimentation with color sampling from an image using flash: Here
Something else we worked on was this:here.

Thirdly we made art works using flash and music:

For our final we had to document a project we worked on. Since I made a game for another class, I documented the process on how I came about making the game. The PDF documentation can be found here. and the game can be played here.

Week 9-14 Game Dev.

So the game is now in development phase! Which is almost pretty much in my hands. While I'm waiting for finally assets approval, I've started on building the game engine. So initially, the game were to be build in flash using the Citrus Engine. However, the API for that engine wasn't really user friendly, so the game engine was changed to Unity. To help with the development, I looked up 3D Buzz  and found some helpful tutorials. It is when I started the tutorials that I notice the programing language they were using was C+. Lucky, C+  is object oriented programing, and with experience from AS3 and A bit of JS, I was able understand it and work with it for this project.

Stage 1: Build the game without asset. (week 9-10)
Started playing with Citrus Engine, a flash engine. However it was not too user friendly.
Change to Unity

Stage 2: Add in visual Asset. (week 11)
Making sure the visual elements were finalize and approved for the game.

Stage 3: Add in sound Asset. (week 12)
The sounds elements were chosen with the 90s style game that we were emulating.

Stage 4: Testing. (week 13)
Beta & Alpha testing.

Final Stage: Export and launch. (week 14)
Export for web, PC and Mac.

For complete  company production blog, it can be found at C+Veg Interactive.

Final product of the game can be found here: VANs Rocket Game
